High School Spring Series
Evangelism 101 – taught by Dan Marotta
This spring semester, the high school students will be learning how to share the good news of the gospel with their peers by studying the life and ministry of Jesus and His disciples. The goal of the course is not only for students to cognitively understand how Christians can communicate God’s grace to people outside of the church, but also for students to practice what they are learning by courageously engaging their friends in conversations about Jesus.
Middle School Spring Series
6th grade students (Taught by the Richeys, Merricks, Amackers, and Seidels): In the first quarter, students will be studying Exodus through the book of Ruth, focusing on the journey from Egypt to the Promised Land. The second quarter will look at I Samuel through the book of Esther, focusing on the history of Israel’s prophets, priests, and kings and the people’s subsequent exile and return to the Promised Land. This class will place an emphasis on students seeing truth for themselves through observation, interpretation, and application of Scripture.
7th grade students: Communicants’ Class (Taught by Mark Hutton, John Collmus, David Lepage, and Catie Pent) – Exploring what it means to walk with Jesus and be a part of His Church.
8th grade students (Taught by Lewis Lovett): The 8th grade class will be taking an in-depth and practical look at one of the foundational pieces of the Christian walk: daily devotions. We’ll discuss how to use Scripture, how and when to pray, and how being still and quiet can fit beautifully into our busy lives. Together, we’re going to practice spending time with the Lord so that we can be equipped and grounded in His presence.
